Why do I need to carry out Periodic Inspection & Testing?
Electrical periodic inspection and testing is required by law in the UK. The law requires that all business owners, their directors, managers and employees comply with The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989:
Section 4 (2) that all electrical systems must be maintained to be safe at all times.
To comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974. An inspection and testing schedule must be implemented at all workplaces. Insurance companies are increasingly asking for evidence that the electrical installation at a commercial or industrial location is safe.
