Residential Reverse Osmosis

Residential Reverse Osmosis works by using different stages of filtration to remove as many impurities as possible from the water, then in the final stages of filtration, it will put back into the water the minerals our body’s need. The end result is clean, safe and great tasting water.

What system do I need?

For households and offices, we would recommend a 5 or 6 stage system. They both have multiple filters for removing sediments/bacteria and then use post filtration filters to put the good minerals back into the water.

Do I need a pumped system?

We have both pumped and non-pumped RO Systems on sale. Reverse Osmosis needs a good water pressure supply to allow the water to pass through all the stages of filtration effectively. If your water pressure is on the low side, then we would recommend going for one of our pumped systems.

Why choose reverse osmosis?

RO is becoming increasing more popular due to how cost effective it is. The only maintenance our systems need are replacement filters. Depending on the water, the filters will last between 3 and 6 months. Replacement filters are inexpensive and very easy to swap out with the old filters.

What does it do?

RO will improve the taste, and appearance of the water, as well as removing unpleasant odours. It will also remove a lot of impurities such as fluoride, lead, chlorine & chloramine, pesticides, detergents & more, nitrates & sulphates plus much more.

Can I install it myself?

All our systems are very easy and straightforward to install and do not require a plumber. Clear instructions are included with every system and should take around half an hour to install. Of course, you can have a professional install it if you like, but it’s not really needed.

What else can it be used for?

Not everyone uses Reverse Osmosis for drinking water. Many professional window cleaners have started adopting these systems in their cleaning process. When using normal tap water to clean a surface it will leave water marks and spots, but with water purified from an RO system, it will leave a crystal-clear finish on the surface. Another use for them is in home aquariums to provide clean and safe water for fish, but these tend to be smaller 3 stage systems.

If you’re still unsure of what the best system to get is, give us a call or email and one of our team will go through your specific needs to get the right system for you.
